I was a month old (or so) when I went to my first auction. I can remember it like it was yesterday. Well not really.
But Mason has beat me! 17 days old and he was at the auction viewing for our Thanksgiving Day sale. At least, I think he was there. Truth be told I never saw him for the entire thing. It seemed every time I looked up someone else was carrying him around. And I didn’t have any say in it either.
Here is one of my favorite customers, Beth, carrying the little sausage around. Yes I’m allowed to have favorite customers. If you don’t like it, you’re just jealous.
The one in blue is Jayne (Auction Goddess (my mommy (Masons grandma))). She was there too apparently. I didn’t see her much either so someone must have been carrying her around as well.
Anyway, I have a HUGE auction this weekend. I gotta find time to update this more but more pressing work is waiting (coffee break).
Or was it Dan?
Oh! Diary. Of course. Sorry about that. Now that I’m a huge celebrity in the comic world I have a hard time remembering all the little people.
I’m sure you saw the headlines about it. First page of the New Yorker ring a bell? Or maybe it was page 22 of the St. Albert Gazette. Still better than you’ve ever done, Diary!
On September 20th in the St. Albert Gazette they printed an article about comic makers in the Edmonton, Alberta area. AND I WAS IN IT! And it was the best thing ever. Here’s a copy of the article I saved. Click it to make it huge. Or just go to this website:
See that guy in the red shirt. That’s me. That’s my side face. And my side arm.
This is the comic I was working on during the interview.
It’s from my webcomic http://www.FuzzyOutlaws.com and it updates twice a week.
I have two other webcomics as well:
www.DuckAndRabbit.net (updates 5 days a week)
www.StickDinosaurs.com (No longer updates)
I know I know. Too many comics. Who needs sleep anyway? Becky and I make all these together. I do the arts but she helps with all the writing and character designs.
Anyway. Go read those because one day they’ll go to print and I will need you impressed enough to buy a book.
